Dear AVPS Families, We’re filled with gratitude for the stunning fall colours that continue to brighten our days and remind us of the beauty all around us. As the days grow cooler and darker, let’s take time to pause, reflect, and focus on the good.

Dear Families, It is hard to believe we are already approaching the end of October. Excluding today and a handful of other days, we have enjoyed a beautiful and relatively warm fall.

During the potential inclement weather months (roughly early November to early April), our transportation partner, Tri-Board Student Transportation Services (Tri-Board), works closely with their school bus companies to determine if it is safe to offer school transportation on inclement weather days.

What a fabulous week at AVPS! We are excited to share that 80 students from Amherstview P. S. proudly represented our school at the Fort Henry Regional Road Race! Students from Grades 3 to 8 showed incredible effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the event.

Dear Grades 7-12 Families, You are invited to attend the Limestone District School Board’s (LDSB) Pathways to Possibility: LDSB Entrepreneur Information Night on October 15, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Fractal Workspace (632 Fortune Crescent) in-person or online!
