Dear AVPS Families,
We are bursting with pride for our incredible students who recently competed at the Fort Henry Championship Run and a great season! We’re so proud of our Gators for showing true grit and determination. Your hard work and commitment to your goals are inspiring! Congratulations to the Atom Boys team for their first-place finish at the regional cross-country meet. Un grand MERCI to Mme. Mackenzie, Mme. Bigelow, and Mme. Lecompte for your time and commitment and to supportive families for being part of the journey.
Please see the important information in the Code of Conduct below. We appreciate you taking the time to review this at home with your child. These conversations are key to helping students understand what it means to be their best selves at school and beyond.
To our families of students with IEPs, thank you for returning the consultation logs to your child’s teacher. These working documents play a crucial role in building strong, individualized programs—and your input is deeply valued.
Please see the informtaion below about hot lunch starting soon below. A big thank-you to School Council for organizing hot lunch for AVPS and to the incredible team of volunteers who support this each week! We can always use more volunteers, please reach out to the school.
As Socktober comes to a close, we are proud to share that because of your generosity and the support of our amazing AVPS staff and students, we will be donating a large number of socks to those in need in our community. Thank you, Gators, for making a difference!
Tech time! This week, M. Saunders' class had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with Mr. Cardy in the tech classroom last week. Hands-on learning experiences like this spark curiosity and offer new ways for students to engage and grow, at the same time learning and using valuable skills in mathematics, collaboration and problem solving.
As the weather continues to change, we thank you for sending clearly labeled, weather-appropriate clothing (including extra items) with your children. Being prepared helps students stay comfortable, focused, and ready for learning and fun throughout the day.
Please see upcoming spirit days below! Thank-you to the AVPS Student Council for organizing these fun days!
Resources that support foundational literacy and math skills at home can be found through the links below!
Please reach out to the school if you have any questions, we are here to support you!

Keep your Childs’ things and your $$ out of the lost & found!!
As winter approaches and snowpants and other cold weather gear come to school, please label your child’s items so that they are not misplaced or mixed-up with other students’ clothing. The AVPS School Council has a link for the purchase of labels for your child’s items see below!

Bringing Outside Food into Classrooms
Due to the presence of various allergies within our school, it is essential to inform your child’s educator in advance if you are wanting to bring food to share in your child's classroom for reasons of celebration.
Please connect with your child's educators well ahead of time to arrange the timing. Only store-bought, prepackaged food items with clearly labeled ingredient lists are permitted.
Please provide the ingredient list to your child's educator at least two days in advance so they can communicate with families so they can decide whether their child can participate. Thank you for your cooperation.
