School Photos - September 22 and 23

OPEN HOUSE Monday, September 29 from 5 to 7 p.m.

September 22 to 25 - AVPS Reading Week

The Book Fair will be available all this week and during the OPEN HOUSE.

If Mme Panet or Mme Jarvis catch you reading at night, you will win a gift certificate for the Book Fair.

September 22 - Primary and junior students given new books
                     - Mme Panet and Mme Jarvis will read to                        kindergarten classes
                     - 2:30 - Drop Everything and Read!
                     - Guest illustrator presentation for grades 6,7,8

September 23 - Whole school reading buddies

September 24 - Guest author presentation for Grades 7 & 8s
                     - Math and Reading activities
                     - Wear your pyjamas to school

September 25 - Guest author to read to primary students
                     - Guest author presentation for Grade 4 & 5s         
                     - Dress as your favourite character from a book
                     - Bring your favourite book to school to read to a                        partner

September 26 - PA Day - no classes for students
                     - Read with your family

Welcome to Amherstview Public School ! Feel free to download and print out this form to register your child at our school. Just fill in the form, bring in the required documentation and bring them in.

Documents required for registration

  • Proof of your child's age (birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport)
  • Proof of address (driver's licence of parent/guardian, household bills, federal government forms)
  • Proof of immunization (child's immunization record - visit KFL&A Public Health for more information)
  • Your child's Ontario Health Card (optional)
Full Day Kindergarten

We are currently accepting registrations for junior and senior kindergarten students for the 2013-2014 school year, for those children who will turn 4 or 5 by December 31, 2013. Amherstview Public School will have full-day kindergarten. Families may register their children in person at the school. When you come in to register, please bring your child's Birth Certificate, Health Card, Immunization Card, and proof of home address
