Amherstview Public School is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 school with French Immersion offered from JK to Grade 6.

Our students come from the community of Amherstview and the surrounding area as well as the Bayridge area. We are located west of the City of Kingston along the picturesque Loyalist Parkway. The school is a short walk from Lake Ontario along Fairfield Blvd. Welcome to Amhestview Public School’s Website!

Our school is a dual track school hosting JK- Grade 8 English and JK- Grade 6 French Immersion. Our enrolment is approximately 170 students in the English track and 325 students in the French Immersion track.  This fall we are adding Full day Kindergarten in both languages of instruction.
Amherstview Public School has a unique elementary technology program for Grade 7 and 8 students from our school. Other surrounding schools travel to our A.V.P.S. to take advantage of lessons in Design and Technology with great equipment and a full time qualified technology teacher.
Our gymnasium is probably the nicest elementary gym in Limestone District School Board. We also have a huge play area outside for our students that hosts two ball diamonds used by our community. Our students enjoy many lunch time intramurals and school sports teams.

L.A.R.C. hosts a before and after school program on site at Amherstview School that families take advantage of to help with child care.
We are very proud of the rich learning environment we provide here at our school.
Thank you for visiting our website. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call me at the school.
